STEEL CHALLENGE Match Description
Blackwater Steel Challenge will consist of Eight courses of fire. Each course of fire will display 5 static steel plates in different configurations. Each course of fire will be shot in 5 strings of fire with the exception of “Outer Limits” which will have 4 strings of fire. The best 4 of 5 strings of fire (best 3 for Outer Limits) will be kept for score. The Low score in time for all 8 courses of fire will determine division winners. This will be a trophy match and will be run by Steel Challenge Shooting Association rules. All rules and stages can be found on our web page or the Steel Challenge page.

Competition Pistols
Rimfire: Any .22 caliber Semi-auto or Revolver pistol. There will be a Production and Open division in this category. Start position will be from the low ready.
Production pistol: Iron sights. Open pistol will be any pistol with Optics or Compensator
Centerfire Pistol: Any centerfire pistol with a minimum caliber of 9mm. All AMMO will have to be of MINOR power factor (PF). (ie bullet weight X velocity divided by 1000 and less than 160PF.) 9mm and .38 special makes this in stock box ammo. Other calibers will have to be lower power re-loads. This is for safety reasons shooting steel. There will be 3 divisions in centerfire pistol. All centerfire pistols will have a start position with gun loaded and holstered with hands above respected shoulders. Any questions please ask!
Production: Any double action first shot, double action only, safe action etc… pistol drawing from a normal production holster only. If you shoot a double action pistol you will fire your first shot from double action. If you plan to use a race holster in production division you will be moved to Limited division.
Limited: Any semi-auto or revolver pistol with iron sights and any holster standard or race type. No Compensators!
Open: Any semi-auto or revolver pistol including comps, optics, race holsters.
